We have reworked the design of our inflatable shelters, now offering welded and taped frames and canopies. This produces a number of important benefits;
- Structure stays inflated for longer - the new PU welded and taped frame construction allows shelters to remain inflated for longer, without the need for topping up.
- Lightweight - the new PU fabric is 33% lighter than previous rubberised fabrics.
- Improved water resistance - canopy seams are welded and taped which guarantees the seams remain waterproof even through repeated deployments.
- Improved hot weather performance - the welded and taped seams remain stable at high temperatures, whereas glued seams can become softer and gradually leak,
- Easier maintenance and repairs - the sectional structure allows for quick and easy replacement if any parts become damaged.
- Detachable floor - a heavy-duty PVC floor aids cleaning and maintenance and allows the shelter to be deployed over existing structures or vehicles if needed.
- Fire retardant construction - the canopy, frame and floor are all manufactured from fire retardant materials.
Our new shelter designs were selected by St.John Ambulance. They chose the shelters as they can be rapidly deployed and quickly and easily joined together if required. They also requested several special features such as a translucent white roof for improved natural light and a number of additional attachment points for lights, curtains and oxygen cylinders.
